Eleni was born and raised in Flint, Michigan and currently lives in Erwin, North Carolina. In 2014, She graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Visual Communication and has used her skills to create everything from logos to cookbooks for local businesses. Her passion is graphic design, but she never thought she would ever write a children’s book. She currently works part time as a freelance graphic designer while working locally in her community. She and her husband have one son named Levi. They also have a cat named Chula and two dogs named Maizie and Bandit.

Carla Blackmon - Illustrator

Born & raised in eastern North Carolina and graduating from North Carolina State University with a degree in Design studies, Carla has a love for all things art that started when she was just a little girl. During weekend stays with her Grandmother Joan, a visit to the craft store was always in the plans. She has continued to feed her passion for art through painting as well as other artistic avenues. Her home is now decorated with her grandmother’s paintings and some of her own that serve as a daily dose of inspiration to continue to challenge her creative mind.
